Age and "Education-level " mean absolutely nothing imo. It's the want and willingness to learn more that makes hacker what they are. BTW I'm in my mid 20's so I think we have a nice range of ages and experiences on this forum. Very Happy

We do have a nice range. Thanks for all the responses, good to see I'm not the oldest/youngest on here.

22. Got a late start, but I'm working on a bachelors in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering... Taking classes in all the 3 majors and I can't freakin decide what to stick with. I'll figure something out I suppose... looking forward to my Operating Systems programming class anyway.

Learn as much as you can in all the areas. You can't be an expert is everything, but it pays to have a wide area of understanding. If you are able to, consider double majoring. If not think about what jobs each major will allow you to pursue and then go with the one that leads to your goals and what you want to do. But still, learn as much as you can about all the areas.

Now I know why you act like one. Well at your age I knew nothing, and your rap is awesome. Congrats.

You earned my deepest respect. Love when people still learn at that age.

I'm 21. In a hacker book a read that a guy who accomplished big things thought that is time to get a university grad, so he talked with some students. His overall opinion after that was that university is unnecessary, those who attend don't know shit. Well not true for me, when I went to university I only new Pascal (4 years of programming) and HTML (1 month of programming), but since then (I'm only halfway) I know more then 10 languages (bash, sql, xml, oop based languages) and their basic concepts. And I still have languages to learn: PHP (I know it just in a basic level), Assembly, VHDL and a few more, whereof I'll have courses in the near future. So guys, go to university, it's worth it.

You're not beating him, you are making yourself believe that, which is......a little sad since you can't take the hint that NO ONE IS SIDING WITH YOU.

NO ONE LOVES YOU.
