a JavaScript-based web interface instead of the Java applet

I converted the JAR applet into a JavaScript-based web interface.

Since Java applets have not been supported in modern browsers for a long time, the script on the page could be updated so that the puzzle remains usable, as was done with Mortal Coil, for example.
