I assumed it would be touchtone, and I'd already done a spectral analysis without even listening before realising it was just pulses!

i listened to it and also immediately knew it was impulse dialing. just couldn't be fucked listen and count. today i finally did it, tried to listen to it with slowing it down with vlc, still too fast though; audacity made it pretty easy :)

It's pretty easy to count pulses in a spectral analysis, and I had the code all ready from some attempts at automating "Say It". So I guess I did get some benefit from throwing heavyweight analysis at it rather than realising it was simpler than I thought. :)

mhhh, Say It, some i still have to do, and Spiral Bits :/
too much coding and learning required, why cant i be fucked to do it?

*lol* yeah -- i assumed it would be a dtmf combination and searched for a dtmf decoding app on freshmeat. found one and wondered, why the heck it could not decode the number. i would have saved some time, if i would have first listened to the mp3

this was by far the funniest challenge, yet.

same here. Audacity and count.

Still got a W38 at home, so it was pretty straightforward.
