Hacker meaning......

Hi :]
I'm new to the hacker/programming/gaming community and I'm
planning on using this community to gain valuable information on pursuing my dream
of becoming a hacker.(also to be around people who understand me)

I've been reading some of the fourms posted and I haved noticed alot
of noobs(such as myself)who have posted certain topics that some say are
for crackers.(not hackers)

I think in order to stop getting these post why not have the meaning of a hacker posted
somewhere on the site. There should be an in-depth definition or meaning of a hacker that explains
what a hacker is and how they differ from crackers.

This is just a suggestion.

Good idea, but I doubt all the script kiddies and wannabe-crackers who come here looking for advice lack the language skills as well as the mental capacities necessary to understand such a hypothetical "in-depth definition". If they'd bother reading it at all...
