okkkk here it is...most ips CANNOT be tracked. (being that the ip location is really a server of the ISP and it forwards it to your home) NOW you can get the general area of where the person is! (like..the city) but this is not accurate being the fact some times the trackers send you about 1-2 thousand miles away... but usually its within the city or just the general location.... TO GET EXACT LOCATION you have to hack a database of the ISP that will tell you were allllll of their IP addresses are pointing to!Untraceable wrote:how would you use a IP address to track someones location?

now for hiding your ip address...there are seeeveral methods people have come up to.."hide" your IP....MOST are NOT effective on cable companies (such as Comcast). Dial-up, you dont need to worry being the fact you're talking to a proxy server anyways to get your info. BUT with an IP people can hack your computer and then gain personal information somewhere stored! You can work using a proxy...but this is not that effective because hackers can see the ip of you through the proxy. Identity Theft people are not normally hackers...usually they're people that go through the garbage, take down your info at a resturaunt, etc. However if yo ucome across one....you cant escape it really...NOW IF YOUR HACKING (which being on this forum, that would make sense) a good solution is by going to the library or somewhere public (yes i just said PUBLIC) so you can do your biz and then run

yeah people can see where you live thorugh your IP addresss try this site: http://www.ip-adress.com/
